Akiira Geothermal project is a 140 MW geothermal power project developed in two phases of 70 MW utilizing the steam resources in the Kenyan Rift Valley. The project is located south west of Naivasha, Kenya. The project will be connected to the Kenyan national grid. The project is in early construction/exploration drilling phase.

Frontier Involvement

DI Frontier Market Energy & Carbon Fund is substantial shareholder in the project company, Akiira Geothermal Ltd., with a view to contribute to the development and provide equity for the construction of the project.
